Seeing the Good in People

So today i was annoyed, and angry. I felt and still feel unappreciated. I have placed myself in a situation that is causing me alot of grief and pain. I came across this and it gave me hope, i was actually about to delete this email.

Trying to change someone is a waste of time. The very thought of changing someone is saying that they are not good enough as they are, and it is soaked with judgment and disapproval. That is not a thought of appreciation or love, and those thoughts will only bring separation between you and that person.
You must look for the good in people to have more of it appear. As you look only for the good things in a person, you will be amazed at what your new focus reveals.

May the joy be with you,

Scorpion - Oct 24th to Nov 22nd

Extract from http://www.astrology.com.au/12signs/scorpio.asp

Magnetic, elusive, sexy and determined. That’s you Scorpio! You were born under the eighth sign of the zodiac which is referred to by astrologers as a fixed water (ice) sign. In a lot of ways ice sums up your emotional character. But why is this, when you have fiery and warlike Mars ruling you?

Your star sign is probably one of the most misunderstood signs of the zodiac. It has had a pretty bad rap over the years, but that’s just because what people don’t understand, they tend to fear. That cool aloofness is just the surface of your complex nature, and is by no means bad. Below the surface of your cool exterior is a scorching and passionate fire. You know it and others sense it too.

You’re an emotional being, and you take it to the limits. In fact you need overkill to feel really alive. You also want approval, though you don’t often verbalise that. You give 100 per cent of yourself to those you love, and expect the same, if not more, in return. There are definitely no half measures in your attitude to love.

You are demanding of yourself and others, but when you give your heart to someone you’re very loyal. You are committed to anything you do, including relationships — you absolutely adore the idea of love. It’s a challenge that excites you.

Click to continue................

You turn heads whenever you walk into a room — you are the strong, silent type, and you have a magnetic aura. You have something that’s hard to put your finger on but makes it nearly impossible for people to ignore you. You know full well that you can manipulate people, and you love it! This magnetic power is really your greatest strength.

It’s well known astrologically that the eyes of a Scorpio can hypnotise. Whether you know it or not, this is your most powerful physical trait. Often people will often say that you have amazing eyes. So even though you don’t always articulate your feelings, your eyes do plenty of communicating for you — they can express the full range of your emotional states.

Determination is another of your key characteristics. People can see you as insensitive to others’ needs, even obsessive, because you push forward so single-mindedly. There are no half-measures in your life — in friendship, love, family life or work. You want to be the best, and you won’t let anything stand in the way.
But on the plus side, you like to share your successes with the people you take under your wing, whether they’re family or friends.

You’re not afraid of obstacles or challenges, whether they are something unavoidable or foes or competitors. In fact, you thrive on them — you love trying to prove that no one can stop you.

If someone tries to corner you or put you in a difficult situation, they’d better be prepared to give it their best shot, because you won’t give in until you win, and your enemy is totally crushed in body, mind and spirit.

If that ruthless streak in your character can’t be satisfied straight away, you’ll wait, patiently, until the proper time to seek revenge. Time is of no consequence to you when it comes to wreaking vengeance.

Whether you’re fulfilling your sensual appetites or your more noble aspirations, pleasure will always be a focus for you. You want it all. You are not afraid of the dark side, even though you seek the light. This is why Scorpio has three totems — the scorpion, the lizard and the phoenix.

The scorpion is the most vengeful and dangerous part of your nature. If you’re operating on that level, you’ll be constantly seeking to hurt others with your power. This is, of course, something to avoid.
The lizard represents the class of scorpions who hide from life and never quite achieve the full measure of their power. They sometimes seek self-destructive outlets such as drugs or even criminal activities to satisfy their obsessive nature.

If you aspire to the best that Scorpio has to offer, you’ll be the phoenix, which rises out of the ashes. This transformative totem indicates that you have to burn your lower nature to allow the most splendid parts of your nature to live and grow. Fortunately, most Scorpios lean towards the phoenix. (this is so me)

In appearance you will be well proportioned, strong in body, muscular, and with a broad face and a commanding look. Your eyes, as already mentioned, are your strong point.

You are a tireless worker and generally achieve great success after the middle part of life.

The life of a Scorpio is challenging, but there’ll never be a dull moment.

SO WHO THINKS THIS IS ME,
WATCH FOR PART 2 WHERE I ANALISE MYSELF

Mapenzi by Kidum

This is the Song Mapenzi By Kidum Enjoy

Kidum: My African John Legend

Although he looks like a Congolese, Kidum is Burundian based in Kenya with an excellent grasp of Kiswahili which leads me to believe he has lived here for a while. No Pun intended.

His real name is Jean Pierre Nimbona. He is my African John Legend.

I Gather that due to the political instability in Burundi, he came to Kenya in 1995 to continue with his talent. He joined the HOT ROD BAND in which he worked with until the year 2003.

Kidum is great because he sings to the soul. His songs seem to have a similar beat, I guess its his signature beat,

He performs at Rafikiz pub every Wednesday. Kidum’s band and his Boda Boda band along Langata Road Nairobi. Lately I’ve began appreciating his songs, I know I know i have listened to him for like 10 Wednesdays at Rafiki’s and never really appreciated his songs till now.

Some sing of love but not the mushy love songs that most peddle but subtle, check out the lyrics for my fave songs.
Kidum and  Juliana Kanyomozi (TPF4 Judge) -  Hatutrudi Nyuma
Ukiniacha mi ntalia
ukienda zako ntabaki naumia
kama ungelijua
uoga ni lao, kukupoteza
ndio nasema, baby

Kidumu and Jay Dee - Nitafanya

Ikiwa umeamua kunitoroka
ikiwa unahisi hujiskii nami tena
na mbona imekuwa ngumu kunidokeza
naona ni bora nilie leo, badala ya kesho
kupenda, usipende
ni kama kujitia kitanzi
nitachimba na sururu
kwa ardhi nikitafuta penzi lako
ni heri nipigwe fimbo kwa mwili
sababu ntajikuna ama ntajikanda na maji moto
maumivu ya penzi, mtu hajikuni
wala hajikandi na maji
na hakuna upasuaji

      Koi Fish.....

Koi Fish meaning in Japan is good fortune or luck they also are associated with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. Symbolic in Buddhism to represent courage.

The Koi fish is considered to be the most energetic of fishes. This is because it is constantly moving, often churning up water.

The Koi is also able to fight the current of the water and swim upstream.

According to Japanese legend, if a koi succeeded in climbing the falls at a point called Dragon Gate on the Yellow River, it would be transformed into a dragon. Based on that legend, it became a symbol of worldly aspiration and advancement.

koi fish tattoo on the arm
Some say that the koi fish should NOT be tattooed in the lower or middle back, because that doesn't represent the success and accomplishment which is what Koi fish tattoos are For men, that’s rubbish to me since it is a bit harder because it needs to be placed in a way that it doesn't look awkward. Feet, wrists, shoulders, forearm, and the upper back are all great places to tattoo. They can tattoo almost anywhere and it will look good.
celebrity with an ankle koi fish tatoo
Each Koi is a unique fish in that no two are alike. Within this uniqueness there is an order of things, so that Koi can be divided into broad categories based on their markings and colors. In Japan there are 14 basic lineages recognized and these are accepted throughout the world. Within these groups there are numerous other divisions which relate to the way in which the colors, scales or combination of these are formed in the individual fish.

The 14 types of Koi Fish

      • Kohaku - These are the most common type of koi and are white with red markings.
      types of koi fish
      • Taisho Sanke - These are white koi with red and black markings.

      • Showa - These koi have red and white markings on a black background.

      • Bekko - Bekko can be red, white or yellow, but they have black markings.

      • Utsurimono - These koi are similar to Bekko, but are actually the opposite being black with red, white or yellow markings.

      • Asagi - These koi are blue/grey and have red markings on their sides, fins and bellies.

      • Shusui - These koi are similar to the Asagi, but these are doitsu koi, meaning that they have scales only along their dorsal and lateral lines.

      • Koromo - Koromo koi are named for the pattern they have - "robed". They are normally white, and then the pattern is outlined in a darker color, sometimes blue, black or purple.

      • Kawarimono - This is a catch-all name, including all koi that are non-metallic.

      • Hikarimono - Koi that are hikarimono are metallic, but of a single color only.
koi fish arm tattoo, without shadding
      • Hikari-Utsurimono - These koi are metallic, but with the marking of an Utsurimono.

      • Hikarimoyo-Mono - These koi are also metallic, but they have more than one color and do not fall into the Utsurimono and Showa patterns.

      • Tacho - Tacho are named after the national bird of Japan and, like the crane they are named for, they have a single red spot on their foreheads.

      • Kinginrin - Any koi with more than 20 sparkling scales.
